Enlightenment
Stupa
In the eastern direction of the Mandala, the Enlightenment Stupa
rises 113 feet high, the first large-scale stupa in America. Revered
across Asia as a symbol of Enlightenment, the Stupa's architecture
represents specific steps along the path to Awakening. Built in
1980 according to precise instructions of the tradition, empowered
with sacred art and texts and the relics of the Enlightened Ones,
the Odiyan Stupa radiates positive energy that fosters harmony in
nature, peace on earth, and happiness for all beings.
Regular ceremonies dedicated to the benefit of all beings are held
at the Enlightement Stupa by the Odiyan community.

Revealed by the Buddha 2,500 years ago, the precise form of
