The heart of the Odiyan Mandala is the Main Temple. Completed in 1983, its three-tiered structure is modeled after Samye, the first monastery in Tibet, built in the 8th century. The architecture of the temple represents the complete and perfect accomplishment of the Buddha. Filled with treasures of sacred symbols, art and texts, the Temple is an offering to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and an invitation to the splendor and beauty of Enlightenment.
