The Odiyan community has observed more than one thousand group ceremonies with thousands of dedications for a wide range of purposes, the most usual being for health and longevity, recovery from illness, or blessings upon death. Individuals and groups are welcome to participate in these religious observances by sponsoring a ceremony. This donation covers the basic cost of flowers, incense, food offerings, and a symbolic honorarium of one dollar to participants. In addition, donations help to defray the cost of utilities, maintenance of prayer wheels, walkways, and gardens. Letters received by the Odiyan community indicate that these ceremonies heal and uplift sponsors as well as recipients. In times of grave illness or loss they offer comfort and strength. On celebratory occasions they offer a way to share one's joy, an act that merges joy with compassion for the greater benefit of all.
Bell-ringing dedications, gestures of caring and goodwill that also invite blessings, may be sponsored.
